Parents and Friends Association
The P&F Association has two main aims:
- To help build a strong school community through fostering fellowship
- To raise funds to support the school in offering high quality facilities for our children.
We provide numerous social opportunities for families, students and parents to get together. We hold an annual bush dance, two parent sundowners every term, movie nights and Scitech visits for the family (below), a disco for the primary students and a quiz night for school families and friends. We entertain fathers on Fathers' Day, mothers on Mothers' Day and grandparents on Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day.(Beechboro photos above)
We compile home contact lists to all families to facilitate communication between parents with children in the same class and produce a JSRACS Business Directory. We tackle our second aim of raising funds by running an annual Monster Raffle which raises close to $50,000 for school facilities - last year it contributed towards the costs of airconditioning the school.
The strength of our association comes from both the dedicated Committee members and the parent body that supports us. Their commitment has helped to build a strong school community of which we can all be proud. We would encourage all families to be involved by sharing our enthusiasm and participating in our meetings which are held every month in term time.
