John Septimus Roe is a long standing member of the North Western Associated Schools (NWAS) sub-association which falls under the Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) banner. This provides students in years 7-10 the opportunity to participate in fixtured interschool sport across a home and away season. In term one the summer season consists of cricket, basketball, ultimate frisbee and indoor beach volleyball. In term two or winter season the students play soccer, badminton, netball and touch rugby. Games are played after school with Year 7/8’s playing on a Tuesday afternoon and Year 9/10’s playing on a Wednesday afternoon. We compete against other independent schools in the North-Western suburbs and historically have strong teams across the competition. Whether students have their own sporting commitments outside of school or not, NWAS sports offer our students a chance to play on teams with their friends, meet students from other schools and learn and develop their skills across a range of sports.
