Early Childhood is the foundation in which we build the necessary skills for lifelong success.
Our Pre Kindergarten 3 year old programme offers young children the opportunity to explore their world and how they fit into it in a safe, supported environment. We value children as strong, capable learners who bring with them a wealth of knowledge and an innate curiosity about the world around. We nurture this curiosity through a play-based learning environment that is responsive to the needs and interests of the children.
We consider social interactions to be of paramount importance in early childhood and endeavour to cultivate an environment that supports the development of excellent communication skills. Morning and afternoon mat sessions are a time for educators to listen to the children and develop positive, caring relationships promoting a sense of belonging within the centre. We encourage communication with families so we can get to know each child and appreciate their individuality.
Our early childhood pedagogy supports the notion of being by celebrating the right of every child to play and learn. Through reflective practice our educators endeavour to respond to the needs of all children and create an environment that is warm and inviting yet stimulating and interesting for young children to explore.
We acknowledge how relationships in early childhood influence a child’s experience of becoming. We support and encourage all children to participate fully in all that our Early Starters program has to offer.
The Pre Kindergarten programme is run by qualified teaching staff on the Beechboro campus only. Mirrabooka enrolments for Kindergarten are welcome to attend Pre-Kindergarten at the Beechboro Campus.
