Music at JSRACS has always been a much loved part of our School’s life. Here at JSRACS, we have a ongoing reputation for the excellence of its music and choral programs.
The JSRACS Music Department offers a wide range of musical experiences for every child from Year 2 through to Year 12. Our aim is to be inclusive of all students and to provide enriching and exciting musical experiences.
There are a number of ensembles at the school led by a dedicated and experienced music staff who rehearse each group for the busy calendar of concerts that occur throughout the year. Our concerts are held at the School, throughout Perth and overseas.

Our Instrumental Staff form a fantastic group of dedicated teachers and talented musicians who provide the skills needed for our music students to be able to perform complex music at a high standard.
Music at JSRACS has provided students the opportunity to learn the Bass Guitar, Bassoon, Cello, Clarinet, Double Bass, Drum Kit, Flute, French Horn, Guitar, Jazz Piano, Oboe, Organ, Piano, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba, Viola, Violin and Voice.
Private or shared lessons are available, which help students advance their skills in their chosen instrument. We also have instrumental hire options available.
St Paul’s Chapel Choir
The St Paul’s Chapel Choir includes students from both the Primary and Secondary school from Music at JSRACS. The choir has toured the United Kingdom, the eastern states of Australia, and Western Australia’s South-West, performed with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and produced recordings of Haydn’s orchestral mass, Missa Sancti Nicolai, and the Fauré Requiem.
The Chapel Choir sings the traditional Anglican office of Evensong each Wednesday with a regular Eucharist on Sunday mornings at St Paul’s, Mirrabooka. The Choir also sings in other Anglican parishes around the Perth diocese.
